Jay Mills is the Area 11 center director for Extend-A-Care for Kids.  He has his B.S. in Exercise and Sport Science from Texas State University.  He has 8 years’ experience with the organization in various positions including center supervisor and group leader

Ryan Baker is the Area 1 center director for Extend-A-Care for Kids. He has his B.S. in Public Relations from the University of Texas at Austin. He has previous experience at YMCA and was a medical specialist for the United States Army and 8 years’ work experience with the organization in various positions including center supervisor and group leader.  

Shawneequa Blount is the Area 6 center director.  She graduated from Texas State University with a B.S. in Family and Consumer Sciences with a major in Family and Child Development.  She is currently working on her Master’s Degree in Family Studies.  Shawneequa has many years of child care experience with the YMCA of Austin where she worked as a group counselor and site leader.  She has also worked for Child Protective Services as a Child Abuse Investigator.

Michelle Poudrette is the Area 5 Center Director for Extend-A-Care for Kids.  She earned a B.S. in Human Development and Masters in Reading and Language Arts at the University of Connecticut and a Masters in Education at Sacred Heart University.  For six years, including one year at Extend-A-Care, she supervised and/or coordinated after school programs for school-age children and taught fifth grade for three years.

Rick Artus is the Area 8 Center Director for Extend-A-Care for Kids.  He earned a B.A. in Psychology from Upper Iowa University.  He has over four years of work experience with Extend-A-Care for Kids.

Mike Peel is Area 13 center director for Extend-A-Care for kids.  He earned an Associate’s Degree in Science Health from Austin community College.  He has over six years of experience with Extend-A-Care for Kids.

Amanda Amezquita is the Area 2 center director for Extend-A-Care for kids.  She is currently seeking an Associate’s degree from Austin Community College.  She has over five years of work experience with Extend-A-Care for Kids.
